Safety Technician jobs in Greenville, MS

We are hiring teammates during our job fair from the Hattiesburg Holiday Inn Express conference center, beginning next weekend (April 28th - 30th).

CGS is seeking to hire a temporary Safety Technician to join our team in support to XCTC Army National Guard training. We are seeking someone who is retired or recently separated Senior NCO/Officer. We want to ensure these personnel is confident with the compliance of OSHA regulations to ensure safety compliance for assigned rotation. You will work directly with and report to the Rotation Director.

Essential Functions:

• Ensures compliance of OSHA regulations
• Analyze EHS data to identify trends and/or system improvements
• Prepares safety reports
• Conducts inspections of fuel points, mobile office trailers with generators, and inspects fire extinguishers
• Ensures all spill containments are complaint and spill kits are filled/refilled as required
• Ensures all vehicle operators are trained and licensed as applicable

Requirements:

• Pass a background check
• Have a valid Driver's License and be able to commute daily
• Ability to safely lift equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Able to work in an outdoor environment using military tents and portable restrooms
• Certified Safety Professional (Preferred)
• OSHA 30 (Preferred)

Education:

• Certified Safety Technician (Required)

Experience:

• Retired/recently separated Senior NCO/Officer (Preferred)

Work Hours: 8-12 hour shifts, 6-7 days / week, for a total of up to 6 weeks.
