Job Details
Conduct routine inspections of raw materials, in-process production, and finished products to ensure compliance with food safety and quality standards.
Perform sensory evaluations to assess product attributes such as appearance, flavor, aroma, and texture.
Monitor and document critical control points in the production process to maintain HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) compliance.
Conduct microbiological testing, including environmental swabs and product samples, to identify and address potential contamination risks.
Assist in the development and implementation of quality control procedures and protocols.
Collaborate with production teams to address any deviations from established quality standards and implement corrective actions.
Participate in internal and external audits to verify compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
Maintain accurate and detailed records of all quality control activities and test results.
Provide training and guidance to production staff on food safety and quality control protocols.
Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes related to food safety and quality control.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Microbiology, or a related field.
Previous experience in food safety and quality control in a manufacturing or production setting.
Knowledge of HACCP principles and food safety regulations (e.g., FDA, USDA).
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Proficient in using Microsoft Office applications and other relevant software.
Preferred Qualifications:
Certification in food safety (e.g., Certified Food Safety Professional, HACCP certification).
Experience with laboratory testing equipment and techniques.
Knowledge of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and GLP (Good Laboratory Practices) standards.
