Safety Technician inspects work areas and equipment to ensure compliance with company, state, and federal safety policies and regulations. Responsibilities also include documenting safety inspections, citing dangerous areas/procedures and recommending corrective procedures, and maintaining safety equipment supply and availability. Being a Safety Technician may require a bachelor's degree in area of specialty. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. Be between the ages of 21 and 30 is requested (this job requires ALOT of walking at a "motivated" pace as well as climbing up and down a ladder).
Must have good driving record, pass pre-employment drug test (and a periodical drug test), work well with the public, maintain a professional appearance, Be able to carry 50 lbs. short distances. Be able to work various hours depending on work load (but mainly Mon-Fri 8-5). Have legible handwriting, a lot of walking is involved with this position and some ladder work. Other things will be discussed during the hiring interview.
