Sales Administration Director develops and directs the sales data analysis function to deliver reporting and tools to sales teams and management that ensure effective sales execution and the achievement of growth objectives. Deploys CRM and other systems to manage customer and activity data. Being a Sales Administration Director develops monitoring and methodologies to analyze sales metrics and to provide insights, support decisions, and highlight areas for process improvement. Directs research efforts to understand market conditions and competitors. Additionally, Sales Administration Director may enable training activities that will ensure sales teams understand and effectively utilize systems and reporting resources. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to senior management. The Sales Administration Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure.     The Ione Band of Miwok Indians (IBMI) is a sovereign tribal nation located in Plymouth, CA, approximately 40 miles east of Sacramento, CA. IBMI’s departments consist of: Administration, Housing, Transportation, Education, and Social Services. IBMI has also launched various economic development projects, including a gaming entertainment facility with expected completion in 2025. Revenue from economic development activities, coupled with IBMI’s various grant funded programs, supports the Tribe’s governmental operations, Tribal citizen general welfare programs, and land restoration efforts.

    POSITION SUMMARY

    The Director of Administration (“Director”) oversees and is responsible for the development and maintenance of all IBMI programs that include HUD, TANF, BIA, EPA, ANA, TNGF, GWP and various other grant-funded programs. The Director supervises all Tribal Administration employees, manages consultants and contractors engaged by IBMI for non-economic development activities and objectives, oversees maintenance of the Tribe’s document management system and citizen files, and provides periodic reports to the Tribe’s governing body – its elected Tribal Council.

    DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Responsible for the administration of specific programs as requested by Tribal Chairperson, including creating and maintaining standards, procedures and files associated with these programs.

    • Oversee development and implementation of HUD, TANF, BIA, EPA, TNGF, GWP and other grant-funded programs.
    • Serve as a secondary contact for tribal members regarding tribal government, social services, community services, and other assistance programs.
    • Develop and maintain service referral database and systems.
    • Maintain electronic and hard and digital copies of program summaries, procedures, and standards.
    • Attend meetings and represent the Tribe in matters related to the specific programs assigned.
    • Generate proposals and supporting documents in response to solicitations.
    • Generate revenue for programs and services through timely submission of well researched, well-written and well-documented funding proposals.
    • Research and identify new government and private funding prospects.
    • Assist Tribal Chairperson and Tribal Council to develop short- and long-term plans for the implementation of IBMI goals and objectives.
    • Develop and implement reporting and evaluation systems for monitoring program success and achievement of established goals and objectives.
    • Develop and implement employee training programs.
    • Provide periodic reports to Tribal Chairperson and Tribal Council, as requested.
    • Perform Other Duties as assigned.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

    • High School Diploma required.
    • Bachelor’s Degree in related field (e.g., social work, education, organization leadership, public administration, business) preferred.
    • Minimum of five (5) years related experience.
    • Must have a valid and unrestricted CA Driver’s License. Driver’s license must not contain any restrictions that would prevent being insured under IBMI’s insurance policy or ability to drive IBMI-owned vehicles.
    • Must be willing to work full time, on site, with limited opportunities for remote work.

    EXPERIENCE - KNOWLEDGE - SKILLS - ABILITIES

    • Knowledge of HUD, TANF, BIA, EPA, and other grant-funded programs available to the Tribe.
    • Experience working with tribal or other governmental entities.
    • Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Experienced with Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher).
    • Demonstrated ability to work well under pressure, meet multiple deadlines, and prioritize competing demands.
    • Ability to work Tribal citizens and the public.
    • Possess problem solving skills and ability to take initiative.
    • Must be motivated and self-starter.
    • Able to lift up to 25 lbs, sit for long periods of time, use fingers, hands, arms consistent with job duties. Reasonable accommodations will be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
    • Attend occasional evening and weekend meetings.
