Job Summary:
The SAP Functional Analyst is responsible for the design, configuration, and analysis of Woodgrain systems. This position will work to interpret business requirements into practical solutions based on a strong knowledge of their functional area combined with SAP best practices. The Functional Analyst will participate in implementation projects, system enhancements, and center of excellence (COE) operations to support advance to meet business requirements and operations.
Duties & Responsibilities:
* Analyze and validate requirements and requests from our partners in the business for completeness, consistency, and feasibility subject to Best Practices in SAP and advise alternatives as appropriate.
* Analyze current business and system processes and provide solutions to optimize productivity, efficiency, and data integrity across multiple connected systems.
* Manage the design, development and testing of custom programmatic solutions in SAP and other tools that may be used (e.g., a report writer, BW/BI solutions).
* Maintain system configuration as defined by scope within SAP/ERP and other business applications.
* Perform functional configuration of the SAP Sales & Distribution environment, while understanding and coordinating with both upstream (sales, production, materials, and warehouse) and downstream (finance) processes.
* Develop process documentation, functional specifications, and test scripts.
* Write technical specifications for developers for solutions requiring program development.
* Help with development of training materials.
* Monitor existing processes to ensure system accuracy and integrity.
* Assist in Design of interface mapping and conversion programs to/from external systems.
* Provide day to day system/process support to users in coordination with corporate support team.
* Work directly with project stakeholders throughout the entire lifecycle of multiple projects to define, implement efficient functional and technical solutions that address the requirements.
* Collaborate with outsourced resources to achieve project goals.
* Ensure solutions and project deliverables are thoroughly tested and meet documented requirements prior to release in the production system.
* Partner with peers across the IT organization to solve complex business problems.
* Research and Learn relevant technologies, including their current updates, independently.
* Stay informed of industry trends within the specific technology area of focus.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in a technical areas such as Computer Science, Information Technology, or Business.
* Equivalent training and experience can be considered in lieu of a degree
* At least 5 years of SAP related experience in Sales & Distribution (other ERP experience will be considered). Must have supported at least 1 large-scale ERP implementation.
* Understanding of middleware applications and Configurations (e.g. XI, CIF, RFC Connections, CPI, IDOC)
* Ability to quickly learn business processes with respect to SAP ECC, S/4 HANA SAP industry specific processes, methodologies, functions, and technologies relevant to the role.
