Sales Director directs sales organization operations and develops the tactics, operational plans, and processes to implement the organizational sales strategy, drive revenue growth, and accomplish financial objectives. Establishes and implements processes, tools, and structures to support the sales organization's operations. Being a Sales Director oversees goal setting for departmental and group levels of the sales organization and uses data and technology to measure and monitor sales processes, identify issues, and enhance performance. Primary responsibilities:
-Direct and manage all corporate, group and leisure activities to maximize revenue.
-Motivate others to find new business and achieve success by exceeding goals.
-Present, negotiate, convince, sell and influence sophisticated clients, other managerial personnel, and hotel guests.
-Prepare and implement annual sales plans, monthly sales reports, annual goals and sales and marketing budgets.
-Develop rates, group ceilings, and deployment strategies through review of competitive data, demand analysis, and mix management.
-Direct all solicitation and promotional activities.
-Actively participates in sales presentations, property tours, and customer meetings.
-Conduct various meetings such as staff, daily business review and revenue management.
-Administer sales training programs and be expert in brand systems.
-Implement policies and procedures for the Sales Department, including compliance of all company standards relating to quality of products and services provided.
-Responsible for interviewing, hiring, training, planning, assigning, and directing work, evaluating performance, rewarding, and disciplining associates; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
-Responsible for implementing and maintaining excellent service to achieve guest satisfaction.
Job Requirements
Minimum 7 years hotel experience with 5 years as a Director of Sales in limited-service hotel.
Previous Hilton experience preferred.
Delphi FDC administrator certification a plus.
Must have exceptional verbal and written communication skills
Must be highly proficient in basic computer systems and internet platforms, including MS Office, PowerPoint, email, etc.
Valid driver’s license
