Sales Director directs sales organization operations and develops the tactics, operational plans, and processes to implement the organizational sales strategy, drive revenue growth, and accomplish financial objectives. Establishes and implements processes, tools, and structures to support the sales organization's operations. Being a Sales Director oversees goal setting for departmental and group levels of the sales organization and uses data and technology to measure and monitor sales processes, identify issues, and enhance performance. Implements methods and systems to effectively analyze and monitor the industry, business environment, and competitors and expand the customer base. Additionally, Sales Director uses market and customer insights to collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify and suggest new products. Builds effective sales and support teams with recruiting, mentoring, and development programs. May personally participate in or negotiate strategic or high-value sales. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. The Sales Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. POSITION SUMMARY:
The Director of Sales develops and implements strategic plans to increase volume and share of Tampico brands across all channels of distribution in the assigned region. This position develops and executes comprehensive programs with each Tampico’s licensees’ partner, key customers and directly with major retailers. This role will work with national Accounts Managers in the implementation of national account programs. The Director of Sales trains and develops all sales members assigned to the region sales team. In addition, this individual will be responsible for growing our alternative packages within our dairy, distributor, and wholesale network. This individual will develop and execute programs with our Tampico partners and assigned retailers.
