Pea River Broadband is a wholly owned subsidiary of Pea River Electric Cooperative, a not-for-profit, member-owned distribution cooperative serving approximately 19,500 electric accounts. Pea River is building a state-of-the-art fiber to the home network that will serve Barbour, Dale and Henry Counties. Pea River has an immediate need for a highly motivated and technically proficient Broadband Sales Engineer to join our team. This person will be responsible for providing technical expertise and support throughout the sales process, from initial customer engagement to post-sales implementation. The ideal candidate will possess a combination of strong technical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for driving customer success.

Job Responsibilities:

• Must perform duties in compliance with all safety policies, regulations, and procedures, including OSHA, with no shortcuts and have a safety-first mindset.

• Engage with prospective customers to understand their technical requirements and business challenges.
• Collaborate with the team to develop tailored solutions and presentations that demonstrate the value proposition of our products or services.
• Conduct product demonstrations, technical presentations, and proof-of-concept exercises to showcase our offerings effectively.
• Provide pre-sales technical support, including responding to customer inquiries, preparing technical proposals, and addressing technical concerns.
• Act as a liaison between the customer and cooperative personnel to relay customer feedback to influence product roadmap decisions.
• Assist with the development of sales strategies, including market analysis, competitor research, and pricing recommendations.
• Work closely with customers post-sales to ensure successful implementation and integration of our solutions.
• Provide ongoing technical support and training to customers as needed.
• Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive landscape to maintain a deep understanding of our products and their applications.

Job Requirements:

• Proven experience in a technical sales or sales engineering role, preferably in the fiber broadband field.
• Strong technical aptitude with the ability to quickly learn and understand complex products and technologies.
• Excellent presentation and communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically about business challenges.
• Willing to travel occasionally for customer meetings, trade shows, and other sales-related activities.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Must participate in safety meetings, training programs, and complete first-aid, AED, and CPR courses.
• Assist in emergency situations as needed
