    The Sales Engineer is responsible for managing existing clients and prospecting new ones. The Sales Engineer must have the capacity to develop civil engineering or geotechnical engineering technological solutions and focus on added value of products. The Sales Engineer will bear the responsibility for the economic results of the assigned business area as budgeted and defined geographically for specific product range. The Sales Engineer remains ultimately accountable for the results of every sale in his/her assigned area.


    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS


    • Sales including project acquisition, material, and quantity take-offs, cost estimates for services and materials, proposal preparation, setting price levels, and bidding.
    • Negotiates contracts and new orders favoring DYWIDAG and receive customer orders.
    • Promotes increase and advance the market share of DYWIDAG products, services, and capabilities promoted to the targeted industry including presentation to owners, designers, and customers.
    • Maintains regular contact with customers from initiation to conflict resolution to final follow-up
    • Develops a pipeline of potential new customers.
    • Provides technical assistance throughout the sales process.
    • Manages and develops the regional team which includes a Project Coordinator and Project Manager.
    • Performs other related duties as assigned.


    REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE 


    • Bachelor’s degree in civil or structural engineering, or 4 years of industry experience.
    • Knowledge of geotechnical application such as to Anchored Earth retention, Micro piles, Rock Bolts, and Foundation Construction.
    • 3 years of Geotechnical experience is required.
    • Sales experience is preferred.
    • Experience with MS Office and ability to learn Dywidag internal database and information system.
    • Ability to read civil, structural, and architectural drawings.
    • Experienced with MS Office - Word, Excel (expert level working knowledge preferred), Access, PowerPoint, Teams, and Outlook.

    • Candidate must best self-starting, efficient, and organized.
    • Fluency in English.

     

    TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS


    • Travel may be required on occasion, <25%.
