Sales Manager manages the sales teams and supporting operations required to implement the organizational sales strategy, drive revenue growth, and accomplish financial objectives. Implements processes, tools, and structures to support the sales organization's operations. Being a Sales Manager conducts long-term and short-term goal setting for teams and individuals and uses data to measure and monitor sales processes, identify issues, and enhance performance. Monitors the industry, business environment, competitors, and customers to develop action plans for expanding and retaining the customer base. Additionally, Sales Manager uses customer feedback and insights to collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify and suggest new products. Builds and develops effective sales and support teams with recruiting, mentoring, and training. Participates in meetings, presentations, and demos to support or close strategic or high-value sales. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Sales Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Sales Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required. Duties:
- Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve company goals and exceed customer expectations
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the market
- Manage and grow existing accounts through effective account management practices
- Utilize Salesforce to manage customer relationships, track sales progress, and generate reports
- Conduct outside sales activities, including cold calling, networking, and attending industry events
- Provide technical sales support to customers, including product demonstrations and training
- Communicate effectively with customers and internal teams to ensure successful project outcomes
- Conduct business in Spanish as needed
Qualifications:
- Proven track record of success in sales, preferably in technology sales or related field
- Strong account management skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with customers
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to communicate effectively with customers and internal teams
- Technical aptitude with the ability to understand complex products and services
- Fluency in Spanish is preferred but not required
- Bachelor's degree in business or related field is preferred but not required
