Sales Manager manages the sales teams and supporting operations required to implement the organizational sales strategy, drive revenue growth, and accomplish financial objectives. Implements processes, tools, and structures to support the sales organization's operations. Being a Sales Manager conducts long-term and short-term goal setting for teams and individuals and uses data to measure and monitor sales processes, identify issues, and enhance performance. Monitors the industry, business environment, competitors, and customers to develop action plans for expanding and retaining the customer base. Additionally, Sales Manager uses customer feedback and insights to collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify and suggest new products. Builds and develops effective sales and support teams with recruiting, mentoring, and training. Participates in meetings, presentations, and demos to support or close strategic or high-value sales. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Sales Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Sales Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     Responsibilities


    • Provide sales support for a portfolio of 6 multi-branded hotels for our Dynamic Sales Solution Service
    • Develop and execute sales action plans to meet or exceed revenue goals for our hotel partners
    • Activate new accounts in the local market and increase market share from existing accounts
    • Develop and nurture a sales pipeline utilizing Salesforce CRM to manage accounts and shorten the sales cycle
    • Drive ROI for hotel ownership and create/innovate additional value for each assigned hotel
    • Lead bi-weekly sales strategy calls with each of your designated hotels


    Requirements


    • Minimum 5 years hotel guestroom sales experience in business transient, crew and government segments
    • Minimum 5 years in a select service hotel
    • Prefer 2 years experience in a Dual or Area hotel sales role
    • Understanding of hotel systems, RFP process, and brand tools
    • Experience in turning prospecting efforts into actualized revenue
    • Solid capacity to leverage technology and a CRM to shorten the sales cycle
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills for general correspondence, proposals, reports
    • Aptitude for and ability to adapt to a fast-paced, changing environment seeking continuous improvement
    • Can be located anywhere in Canada or US, requires very little travel
