Position: Production Manager

Type: Full-Time

Hours: M-F 8:00am-4:30pm

Pay: $45,000 - $55,000 / yr bonus

Location: Columbia Station, Ohio

Position Overview: The Production Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the production process, from design conceptualization to the final output. This role requires a blend of creative aptitude, technical proficiency, customer service, and managerial skills to ensure that all projects are completed to the highest standards, on time, and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, organize, and control the day-to-day operations of the production department to meet production targets and quality standards.
• Coordinate with the design resources to ensure that embroidery designs are feasible and optimized for production.
• Manage production schedules, workflow, and resources to maximize efficiency and productivity.
• Supervise production team members, ensuring accuracy, quality, and timeliness of orders meets customer expectations.
• Oversee the maintenance and operation of machines and equipment to ensure they are in optimal condition.
• Train and supervise production staff, ensuring a high level of skill and discipline is maintained.
• Implement quality control measures to ensure that all products meet the required standards and customer specifications.
• Facilitate customer walk-ins for new orders and pickups.
• Shipping and receiving
• Run embroidery and heat press machines as needed.
• Develop and maintain relationships with customers to ensure clear communication, timely completion of orders, and high customer satisfaction.
• Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors for materials and equipment.
• Monitor inventory levels of materials and supplies, ordering new stock as necessary to avoid production delays.
• Document all necessary information pertaining to orders in the ERP system, such as job details, production status, etc.
• Prepare and manage the production budget, optimizing expenses to maintain profitability.
• Stay updated with the latest trends in embroidery and production technology to drive innovation and efficiency in the production process.
• Become proficient and trained in all aspects of the department.
• Other duties as assigned or dictated by the needs of the business.

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Textile Design, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in a production management role, preferably in the embroidery or screen printing industry.
• Strong technical knowledge of embroidery machines and software.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and/or Google Workspace
• Experience with ERP software such as Printavo
• Experience with design software (e.g., Adobe Illustrator, CorelDRAW).
