The Senior Sales Engineer will be a member of our field sales team and focus on developing business opportunities and relationships with new/existing customers with the goal of growing new machine, automated systems, spare parts and consumable copper sales. The successful candidate will be technically oriented with strong oral, written and interpersonal communication skills. Included will be direct business development activities including, but not limited to, sales prospecting, lead/inquiry handling & data collection, presentations, quoted project follow-up, coordination of Product Group meetings with new/existing customers. The candidate will interface regularly with multiple internal Product Groups to help facilitate sales growth and achieve annual sales bookings goals.
MAJOR AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
· BS/BA degree, post-secondary technical certification or equivalent work experience.
· 5 years technical industrial capital equipment business-to-business sales experience.
· Manufacturing and machine automation and controls experience a plus.
· Ability to read and interpret mechanical engineering drawings.
· International/Domestic travel required; approximately 70 - 80% of time
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
· Master’s degree.
· 10 years industrial business-to-business sales experience.
· Induction Heating, Resistance Welding and Automated Assembly Systems sales experience.
