Sales Supervisor supervises and coordinates the daily activities of sales representatives engaged in promoting and selling a product by phone or mail. Recommends changes to current sales techniques or procedures based on team performance and new selling techniques. Being a Sales Supervisor may require a bachelor's degree in business. Typically reports to a manager. The Sales Supervisor supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. Thorough knowledge of department processes. - Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience that provides the required skills and knowledge to perform the essential function of the job
- 5-plus years of job specific experience within manufacturing and tufting
- Proficient using a PC and other department specific databases, systems, and other hardware and software
- Proficient using all assigned department machinery and other related equipment
- Knowledge and skills required to perform troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and other basic operating problems
- Basic knowledge and understanding of HR policies, practices, and procedures as it relates to employee relations, hiring, and terminations
- Ability to use and apply basic mathematical principles and to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions and percentages
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills in order to effectively interact with other management and hourly employees
- Must be able to walk long distances, climb on machinery, and stand for long periods of time; bending, crouching, and stooping will be required
- Must be able to work in non-climate-controlled facility
- May be required to work a flexible schedule to include evening and night shifts, weekends, and holidays
