Position Summary:
The Sales Support Specialist is a customer-focused professional responsible for assisting the sales team and providing essential support for effective sales fulfillment and execution for advertisers and sponsors. The primary role is to support the sales team and enhance customer relationships. The Sales Support Specialist will work directly with the Director of Sales and will manage designated incoming AQHA event sponsorships and digital advertising sold by the World Show Task Force and/or the AQHA sales team. This position requires a flexible schedule and travel, with travel to events for sponsor fulfillment, on-site activations, and to professionally represent AQHA.

- Strong organizational skills, detail-oriented and able to multitask.
- Strong team player comfortable reaching out across internal teams as well as cultivating external contact relationships.
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, journalism, English or another related field is preferred but not required.
- Experience in the equine industry is preferred, but not required.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for supporting the World Show Task Force and AQHA Sales Team in the fulfillment, execution and reporting of event sponsorship and digital advertising sales.
- Attend sales team meetings and World Show Task Force Sales meetings as needed to take notes and address questions related to sponsors and advertisers.
- Manage sponsor contracts and advertiser insertions throughout the entire process to ensure accuracy on deliverables and client’s financial commitment.
- Communicate with sponsors and clients on the content, deliverable assets, deadlines, and approvals related to their agreements or insertions.
- Submit all necessary sponsor and advertiser materials to the appropriate AQHA department by individual project deadlines. Materials may include print ads, email blast content, text message content, logos, videos, PSAs, and promotional giveaway items.
- Review pending orders and specific customer requests to ensure excellent customer service and customer experience.
- Keep detailed tracking throughout the fulfillment process to ensure deadlines are met.
- Help maintain contacts, book insertions, run reports and become fluent in a CRM system.
- Handle all administrative duties for the sales department or team.
- Suggest sales process improvements.
- Communicate with other AQHA departments to accomplish work duties.
- Submit expense reports and invoices with proper coding to accurately bill departments responsible.
- Continually grow industry knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations.
- Communicate with other AQHA departments to stay current on AQHA business, new projects, and opportunities that could impact AQHA clients.
- Requires a flexible schedule with travel, including weekends.
- All other duties as assigned.

- This is a full-time position.
- Monday – Friday, 8am – 5 pm
- This position is on-site only at our headquarters in Amarillo, Texas.
