The opportunity:
Ferguson is looking to hire motivated Sales Support Representatives who have the desire to build a long-term career with the organization. This position acts as the main liaison between branch outside salespeople and customers. Sales Support uses quality sales techniques and customer service skills to meet and exceed customers' expectations via phone, email, or in person at the branch.
Sales Support Program Details:
Structured and robust 8-week training program through a series of 1-on-1 and on-the-job training opportunities including hands-on experience in the warehouse and at the counter. Learn from the ground up everything you need to be successful in this role.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
- This position supports the residential trade customer group
- Assists in multiple behind-the-scenes sales functions such as answering sales calls for general information, addressing and resolving customer concerns or questions, and helping customers by recommending the best products and solutions to support their needs
- Providing hands-on assistance on an as-needed basis such as helping assist customers at the parts counter and providing backup support in the warehouse
- Presents job quotes and provides accurate pricing and inventory information to customers
- Responsible for managing the purchasing, maintenance, and delivery timelines for orders
- Uses customer relationship management (CRM) system and phone system effectively
- Works together with Sales associates to provide outstanding customer service for both existing and prospective customers
What do you need to succeed?
- 0-3 years of sales and/or customer service experience preferred
- Plumbing knowledge a plus
- A positive, energetic, and enthusiastic work ethic
- Demonstrates and utilizes quality sales techniques and customer service skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Strong attention to detail, demonstrated integrity, and professionalism
- Ability to learn quickly and multi-task as well as organize and prioritize work
- The ability to thrive in an inclusive environment and always be a team player
- Experience with CRM and Microsoft Office Suite is preferred
