Sales Support Representative, Sr. jobs in New Haven, CT

We are looking for a qualified Sales Support Specialist to join our team. You will provide support to sales representatives and and engage with customers and suppliers to assist in the sales process from start to finish. Our ideal candidate is an experienced professional with knowledge of sales and customer service best practices. You should be able to interpret sales metrics and be goal-oriented. We expect you to perform well in a team environment and have exceptional people skills. Ultimately, you should be able to contribute to creating and maintaining good customer relationships and ensuring smooth sales team operations.

Responsibilities

• Provide field sales reps with customer and prospect information and insights
• Provide data and guides to help the sales team
• Research prospective customers and develop intel and insight to help facilitate engagement
• Set up appointments and map travel for field sales reps
• Develop and monitor performance indicators
• Manage and update database with relevant info and progress on tracked opportunities
• Liaise with management to develop specific sales strategies
• Stay up-to-date with new product and feature launches and ensure sales team is on board and has new and relevant information to share with customers and prospects
• Review active and pending orders to make sure projects and orders stay on track and that information is exchanged efficiently and thoroughly
• Ensure an excellent customer service and customer experience
• Suggest sales process improvements

Requirements

• Proven work experience as a Sales support specialist or Sales support associate
• Hands on experience with CRM/Database systems
• Proficiency with MS Office Suite, Scheduling, and CRMs
• In-depth understanding of sales principles and customer service practices
• Excellent communication - verbal and written - skills
• Analytical and multitasking skills
• Teamwork and motivational skills
• BS degree in Marketing or associates degree in relevant field a plus

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
