Duties:

As a part-time trainer with our organization, your duties will include but are not limited to:

1. Conducting one-on-one training sessions with dogs and their owners, focusing on obedience, behavior modification, and skill development.

2. Assessing the individual needs and behaviors of each dog to tailor training programs accordingly.

3. Implementing positive reinforcement techniques to encourage desired behaviors and address any behavioral challenges effectively.

4. Educating owners on proper training methods and techniques to reinforce learning outside of formal sessions.

5. Maintaining accurate records of training progress, including client information, session notes, and behavior assessments.

6. Adhering to safety protocols and ensuring the well-being of both dogs and owners during training sessions.

7. Continuously staying updated on industry trends, best practices, and advancements in dog training methodologies.

8. Collaborating with team members to provide comprehensive support and assistance as needed.

9. Contributing to the overall success and growth of the brand by delivering exceptional training services and fostering positive relationships with clients.

10. Demonstrating professionalism, integrity, and dedication in all interactions with clients and collegues.

Requirements:

The requirements for this position include:

1. Previous experience in dog training, with a demonstrated ability to effectively train and handle dogs of various breeds and temperaments.

2. Strong knowledge of dog behavior, learning theory, and positive reinforcement training techniques.

3. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively convey training instructions and concepts to clients.

4. Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with dogs and their owners to achieve desired training outcomes.

5. Ability to work independently and adapt training strategies to meet the unique needs of each dog and owner.

6. Reliable transportation.

7. Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed.

8. Willingness to continuously learn.

9. Certification or formal education in dog training is preferred but not required.

Job Types: Part-time, Contract

Pay: $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 20 per week

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday
• Morning shift
• Weekends as needed
