Sales Training Director oversees an organization's sales training programs to support an effective and motivated sales force. Conducts initial needs analysis to determine knowledge gaps and training needs. Being a Sales Training Director focuses on delivery and materials that provide effective, engaging, and results-driven training. Monitors participants' results and uses them to improve or enhance training and provide additional development programs. Additionally, Sales Training Director has strong knowledge and understanding of the organization's products, services, customers, competitors, and sales techniques. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. The Sales Training Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Sales Training Director typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments. Job responsibilities:, Responsible for the management of academic, career technical training (CTT) and career services programs in compliance with government and management directives.
Essential functions:
- Plan, coordinate, and direct the administrative and programmatic activities of the directorate.
- Regularly assess and audit the directorate for contractual compliance and quality of services to students and prepare audit and assessment reports.
- Develop and implement procedures, systems and curricula for the center, coordinate CDSS plan development and updates, coordinate the Career Success Standards.
- Coordinate with other center staff concerning programmatic matters, including the national training contractors and training subcontractors.
- Analyze reports monthly and provide recommendations for appropriate programs modifications, direct feasibility studies to ascertain employability of students in proposed and current career offerings.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree and
- Four (4) years experience required, three (3) of which should be in a supervisory capacity.
- A valid driver license with an acceptable driving record.
