Position Summary:
Responsible for identifying and satisfying customer needs for all equipment, parts & supplies and support services for assigned territory which includes specified stores and accounts. Accountable for achieving sales volume, profit margin and market share goals through the direct contact with customers.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Establishes new and services existing customer accounts: by planning and organizing daily work schedule to call on existing or potential HVAC contractors, consulting engineers, or direct users.
Grows annual sales: by focusing sales efforts, analyzing territory opportunities, performing needsanalysis and directing resources.
Responsible for managing and growing market share with branded residential equipment within their territory.
Responsible for growing share of wallet with existing customers.
Responsible for incorporating prospecting activity to meet manager’s requirement and for converting prospecting activity into new business annually.
Provides product, pricing, engineering support and customer service: by doing equipment selections, quotations, price negotiations, following plan & spec jobs, and performing occasional jobsite visits.
Submits accurate orders: by referring to price lists and product literature, using establishedcompany quoting procedures, closing orders, and providing correct order information to inside sales order.
Identifies current and future customer service requirements: by establishing personal rapport with customers and other persons in a position to understand service requirements, strengths and weaknesses of competition, and factors impacting the market.
Prepares contractors and trade allies with product knowledge and selling skills: by planning, conducting and participating in educational meetings; training customers to use automated sales tools such as computer-based load sizing, operating cost or product feature software.
Monitors and provides timely reports on competition: by gathering competitive price sheets, programs and other documentation or information critical to understanding competitive offers in the marketplace.
Keeps management informed: by submitting activity reports orally and by documenting all sales activity with the company CRM. These reports include expense reports and plans.
Resolves customer complaints: by working with contractor or end user to investigate problems and direct proper resources to find acceptable solutions.
Knowledge and Experience:
Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent with education, training and experience
Minimum of 3 years HVAC experience
Minimum of 3 years outside sales experience
Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
