Sarbanes Oxley Director directs programs, policies, and practices to ensure the organization is in compliance with the Sarbanes-Oxley Act. Oversees development and testing of internal controls regarding the reporting financial results. Being a Sarbanes Oxley Director contributes to the development of organization-wide SOX compliance strategies, identifying process deficiencies and recommending improvements as necessary. Oversees the reporting of test results to top management. Additionally, Sarbanes Oxley Director may develop and conduct compliance training for employees. Stays abreast of changes in SOX regulations to ensure timely compliance. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Sarbanes Oxley Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function. To be a Sarbanes Oxley Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience.     Requirements

    • At least three years of experience in a childcare organization or related experience
    • Associates degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills
    • Excellent customer service skills
    • Background working with state and local agencies pertaining to childcare
    • Must pass state-required criminal background check

    Responsibilities

    • Support the School Director in interviewing, hiring and terminating employees
    • Provide supervisory assistance when needed or in the absence of the School Director
    • Prepare daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly documents regarding compliance and corporate reporting
    • Assist in the management of the P&L reports as well as accounts receivables and payables
    • Implement curriculum along with activities, special events and field trips to enhance learning and development of children
    • Maintain effective interpersonal relationships with parents and children
    • Follow and maintain state requirements regarding training for all staff, annually and upon hire
    • Meet and maintain compliance with all state licensing and training requirements
    • Prioritize and coordinate staff work assignments as needed
    • Maintain flexibility regarding the business demands of the school, including working in classroom and other areas of the school when needed
