Sarbanes Oxley Director directs programs, policies, and practices to ensure the organization is in compliance with the Sarbanes-Oxley Act. Oversees development and testing of internal controls regarding the reporting financial results. Being a Sarbanes Oxley Director contributes to the development of organization-wide SOX compliance strategies, identifying process deficiencies and recommending improvements as necessary. Oversees the reporting of test results to top management. Additionally, Sarbanes Oxley Director may develop and conduct compliance training for employees. Stays abreast of changes in SOX regulations to ensure timely compliance. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Sarbanes Oxley Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function. To be a Sarbanes Oxley Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience.     The Director of Education is responsible for the entire educational process at the school, including management of the school faculty, classroom management, compliance with company policies, and the overall quality of the educational experience for our students. This is a full-time position with a schedule that may include early mornings, evenings, and Saturday hours. The salary range for this position is $50,000.00 - 55,000.00 per year based on experience.

    Essential Job Functions/Responsibilities:*

    • Oversight and development of faculty. Hires, manages, trains, develops, motivates, and evaluates faculty and other school-level educational staff to meet school goals and objectives.
    • Manages all areas of education to ensure that each student receives quality education and experience through completion, licensure, and placement.
    • Attends and participates in all new student orientations.
    • Manages student-related records and metrics including re-enters, retention, attendance, clinic sales, licensure, and placement.
    • Compliance management in the areas of instruction, curriculum, student satisfactory progress, student attendance, and all school policies and procedures to ensure educational consistency.
    • Follows all company policies concerning hiring processes and employment practices.
    • Ensures compliance with all corporate policies, and all regulatory agencies including but not limited to: the Department of Education, State Boards of Cosmetology, NACCAS, DOL, and EEOC.
    • In conjunction with the Executive Director, analyzes campus-level results on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis making appropriate changes to prevent or overcome issues, including analysis and correction of issues about student surveys, educational concerns, student/teacher ratios, and any additional issues relating to student education and success.
    • Works directly with the Executive Director and other staff to support the overall success of school operations, including coordination of advisory boards guest speakers, and other educational workshops to enhance the student learning experience.
    • Performs administrative tasks as assigned.
    • Monitors the physical needs of the assigned campus and recommends physical changes and maintenance.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    Education:*

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Education, or a related field
    • Master’s Degree preferred
    • Cosmetology experience is a plus

    *
    Experience:*

    • Minimum of 5 – 10 years of professional experience in education and faculty management.
    • School operations experience is preferred but not required.
