Primary Function: Responsible for planning and scheduling activities during phases of small capital projects, large capital projects, and production facility turnarounds within an Industrial Chemical Plant.

- Develop and establish level 3 (or higher) detailed engineering, procurement and construction schedules.
- Drive the work scope development for assigned turnarounds
- Develop proposal schedules and high-level milestone schedules based on the request for proposal.
- Maintain good relationships with all current and potential customers. Respond to all customer problems or requests immediately and anticipate demands through various customer interaction, etc.
- Provide safe and accurate plans and schedules for assigned turnarounds
- Update plans and schedules and report status
- Develop and update schedules using both Microsoft Project and Primavera in a formal work breakdown structure.
- Relays information for Supervisor to direct efforts to assure that correct manpower is assigned to various jobs.
- Facilitate scheduling interactive planning sessions with architect/engineering firm, equipment providers and the construction team.
- Prepare periodic schedule progress reports to reflect the status of engineering and/or construction.
- Coordinate engineering and construction change orders and scope changes to determine the impact on the projects schedule.
- Develop and manage overall integrated project master engineering, procurement and construction schedules.
- Develop schedules with resource loadings per each individual activity.
- Develop schedules with cost loadings per each individual activity.
- Provide progress curves comparing baseline to actual.
- Provide earned hours reports per each scheduled activity by each trade type.
- Maintain confidentiality
- Consistent on-site attendance is a requirement of the job. Work from the main office. Requires some travel within the State of Michigan; remote field assignments are not anticipated.

Education and/or Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)
- 10 years in a process plant environment performing cross multifunction such as maintenance, operations, technical/process, construction management, mechanical integrity, or project engineering.
- Proficiency with MS Project and Primavera P6
- Experience in leadership role over planning, scheduling, coordinating, and executing large or multi-unit turnarounds in refining, chemical, or petrochemical facility.
Language Skills
Ability to read, analyze and interpret construction documents.
Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquires or complaints.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to use basic math skills.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision; distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment:
The employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles and vibration.
The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions at office and construction job sites.
Must use safety equipment (PPE) where warranted. The noise level in the office is quiet and at job sites it is usually loud.
