Job Summary:
The Surgery Scheduler plays a crucial role in coordinating and scheduling surgical procedures at our Ambulatory Surgery Center in Las Vegas, NV. This individual will work closely with surgeons office staff, patients, insurance payors, billers and other healthcare professionals to ensure the efficient and seamless scheduling of surgeries.
 
Responsibilities:
- Schedule surgical procedures accurately and efficiently, taking into consideration surgeon availability, operating room availability, and patient needs.
- Verify insurance coverage & surgery approval with various insurance carriers as well as communicate financial responsibilities of patients prior to surgery. 
- Communicate effectively with surgeons office staff, patients, and healthcare staff to confirm surgery dates, times, and necessary preparations.
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of surgery schedules, patient information, and surgical preferences.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and guidelines related to surgery scheduling and patient care.
 
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Previous experience in surgery scheduling or healthcare administration preferred.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and surgical procedures.
- Proficiency in computer applications and scheduling software.

-Experience with eClinical Works EMR is strongly preferred.
