School Bus Driver jobs in Seattle, WA

A school bus driver transports students between bus stops and school. The driver maintains order and discipline on the bus and insures compliance with safety procedures. The driver will operate various sizes of buses, ranging from 84 passenger coaches to smaller specialized special-education vehicles. Drivers are directly supervised by the Transportation Director.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

1. Comply with state laws and local regulations pertaining to the operation of school buses and reporting of accidents and incidents.

2. Transport students in accordance with route and time requirements provided by management; recommend and coordinate changes with management as necessary.

3. Maintain records and submit reports as required.

4. Conduct required pre-trip and post trip bus inspections, and clean buses as required. Maintain order, discipline, and proper safety practices among students in accordance with district procedures.

5. Refuel buses, install and remove chains, and perform fluid checks as necessary.

6. Attend meetings and training sessions determined necessary by the District to fulfill position responsibilities.

7. Complete the driver's trouble report as necessary to report bus mechanical problems, damage, and servicing requirements.

8. Perform other related duties and assume other related responsibilities as assigned by the Transportation and/or Operations Manager(s).

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $33.19 - $34.51 per hour
