Description
-Care for students K-12
-Participates with school staff in developing and implementing a total school health program based on student needs.
-Advises and educates teachers, students and parents on health matters and provides training activities when necessary
-Identifies health problems including social, emotional and economic factors that interfere with learning through screening procedures, assessment and evaluation of students
-Works collaboratively with health assistant
-Manages and oversees the implementation of the District medication policy
Requirements
- Must have a New Mexico state nurse certification
-At least 1 year experience in nursing or community nursing
-Experienced with children
-Maintains current CPR certification
