Full-time position, 8 hours per day, July 5, 2023 - August 15, 2023, with prep work involved immediately upon hire

• Responsible for the supervision of personnel and students
• Responsible for assisting with hiring of all positions
• Maintain compliance with federal and state special education regulations
• Responsible for student discipline within program
• Responsible for public relations
• Responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with teachers, students, district administrators, parents, and community agencies
• Communicate with administrators, staff, and parents on regular basis
• Demonstrates effective leaderships skills
• Demonstrates knowledge of Special Education, graduation requirements, testing requirements, curriculum, technology, transition services for students with disabilities
• Performs all other job duties as assigned

Valid NYS Certification in School Administrator/Supervisor (SAS) or School Building Leader (SBL); or individual seeking internship opportunity in educational leadership program-must qualify for Certificate of Internship

• Strong educational leadership in the areas of curriculum, program development and assessment
• Demonstrated success in promoting student achievement
• Decision making skills and communication skills are significant to the job. Candidate must be knowledgeable of best practices in specially designed instruction, behavior management of students with disabilities and the general education curriculum. Candidate must be able to demonstrate the ability to function effectively as a team member and work collaboratively.

SALARY RANGE: Salary dependent upon size of program supervised.
