      Job Overview:
      We have added a second Assistant Principal position to our Middle School starting in the 2023-24 school year. The Palmyra Area School District is seeking an Assistant Principal for Palmyra Area Middle School, which houses approximately 900 6th-8th grade students in a team-concept schedule. Applicants should have a strong knowledge of curriculum and instruction, have experience working with middle school students, possess strong communication skills, and display an ability to work in a collaborative manner. The anticipated annual salary of this position is $85,000 - $95,000.

      Tentative timeline - Applicants will be required to submit a video interview (instructions will be sent via email) by August 6, 2023 at 11:00 PM EST. If selected for an interview, in-person interviews will be held on August 9, 2023.

      Responsibilities:
      Responsibilities include general support and leadership for the middle school students and staff; classroom observations/evaluations; collaboration with Middle School Principal to support continuous improvement of middle school programming.         • Work collaboratively with building level teams to evaluate the progression of student reaching academic/behavioral goals
        • Work with the middle division to provide scheduling that maximizes teaching and learning opportunities
      • Professional/Community Leadership
        • Maintain membership in applicable local, state, and national professional associations and attend conferences and meetings that are necessary to maintain the position of professional leaders
