School Description: McDermitt Combined School is a K-12 school serving about 110 students in the rural and isolated community of McDermitt, in northern Nevada. McDermitt School is a fully served Title I school, with an ethnically diverse student population, which includes high percentages of Native American and Hispanic students, many that are English Language Learners (ELL). McDermitt receives significant federal and state grant funding each year. The physical school plant is located in the township of McDermitt, and serves as a central focus of the community, including hosting community social, political, athletic, and civic events. The Principal will be required to become an active partner in the community. The Principal is the sole administrator in the building and serves as athletic director, grant administrator, Fort McDermitt Service Learning Director, and liaison to the community of McDermitt.

Compensation:
The successful candidate will be placed in the appropriate column and step on the HCSD administrative pay scale, depending on experience and education. HCSD provides health care benefits including vision and dental plans. In addition, the district provides a full contribution to the Public Employees Retirement System on behalf of the employee.
