Position Summary:
The principal needs to be a leader who will support the delivery and administration of District educational programs with the initial assignment to a 500 K-5 student elementary school with wonderful diversity. The principal’s responsibilities include assisting teachers in strengthening their knowledge base and core instructional skills; developing a safe and welcoming environment where all individuals are respected and to ensure that such practices support continued outstanding student achievement in a K-5 setting. The principal must provide leadership to carry out the district’s strategic plan. The principal must encourage parent involvement. The principal must also work with all staff and administrators to instill in our youth the community’s core values.

Desired Education & Qualifications:
A qualified candidate must hold a valid K-12 Minnesota Administrative credential; Master’s degree with emphasis in educational leadership, organizational leadership, or curriculum and instruction or comparable is preferred. Must have demonstrated success as a leader in an elementary school.
