Cogen Superintendent:
Lead day-to-day operation of a cogeneration facility that uses hog fuel, or unprocessed wood-waste debris, for providing 100% of the steam and electrical needs of the cogeneration plant, which produces steam used in the mill, where two paper machines are in operation.
The Cogen Superintendent will be responsible for the safe and efficient operations of a cogeneration plant and its systems. The biomass-fueled combined heat & power (CHP) facility consists of one back pressure turbine/generator, two auxiliary steam boilers (with a combustion air preheater and a feedwater economizer), and associated auxiliary equipment (compressors, pumps, electrical substation and transformer, process controls, and emissions control systems, etc.)
The Cogen Superintendent will provide leadership for all department employees to improve safety, environmental compliance, quality, cost control, and production for the Boiler Operations department. Responsible for implementing and updating management and measurement systems to ensure continued improvement in power generation, water and waste handling. Steam generation and paper cycle operations.
