Job Title: Administrative Assistant - Superintendent FLSA Status: Nonexempt
Reports to: Superintendent Salary: 42,000 – 52,200
Dept./School: Administration Center Date Revised: June, 2023 Under moderate supervision, organize and manage all clerical activities within the Superintendent’s Office. Provide clerical support to District administrators and BISD staff, coordinate confidential information and engage in frequent contact with all levels of district employees, outside agencies, and the public.

Qualifications:

Education/Certification:
High school diploma or GED
Associate’s Degree, preferred
Bachelor’s Degree, preferred

Special Knowledge/Skills:
Proficient skills in keyboarding, data entry, word processing, and file maintenance
Ability to use software to develop spreadsheets and databases and word processing
Knowledge of school district organization, operations, and administrative policies
Ability to make independent decisions regarding planning, organizing, and scheduling
Ability to prioritize workflow to address the multiple needs of the Superintendent
Ability to multi-task numerous complex administrative activities
Knowledge of basic mathematics properties
Excellent public relations, organization, communication, and interpersonal skills

Experience:
Three years secretarial experience, public school district experience preferred
Experience with Ascender software application or similar software and purchase orders.
