Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a School Secretary. As a School Secretary, you will play a crucial role in supporting the administrative functions of our school. This is a full-time, hourly position with full benefits and summers off (200 working days per year).
Responsibilities:
- Provide excellent customer service to students, parents, and staff
- Manage front desk operations, including greeting visitors and answering phone calls
- Maintain and update student records in the School Information System and state portals
- Assist with calendar management, scheduling appointments, and coordinating meetings
- Handle incoming and outgoing correspondence
- Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and document preparation
- Utilize Google Suite and other software applications to complete tasks efficiently
- Coordinate with teachers and staff to ensure smooth operations of the school
- Assist with organizing school events and activities
Experience:
- Previous experience in an administrative role is preferred
- Strong computer literacy, including proficiency in Google Suite and other software applications
- Familiarity with phone systems and front desk operations
- Experience in calendar management and scheduling is a plus
- Knowledge of medical office procedures is beneficial
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
