Medical Laboratory Scientist - Everett Medical Ctr Colby-Everett
SCHEDULE: 1 FTE, Day Shift, 6AM to 2:30PM
Performs test analysis on patient specimens including blood, urine, culture samples, and other body fluids. Performs test analysis on quality control samples, and proficiency samples and performs equipment maintenance.

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree
Upon hire: National Medical Technologist - American Society for Clinical Pathology Or
Upon hire: National Medical Technologist - American Medical Technologists Or
Upon hire: National Medical Technologist - American Association of Bioanalysts Or
Upon hire: National Medical Laboratory Scientist - American Society for Clinical Pathology Or
Upon hire: National Clinical Laboratory Scientist - American Society for Clinical Pathology Or
Upon hire: National Laboratory Tech - United States Government
Within 6 months (180 days) of hire: Must be ASCP/ASCPi/AMT certified as a Medical Technologist or Medical Laboratory Scientist or have an ASCP technologist/scientist certification in the departments that the individual will be trained.
All certifications must be maintained throughout duration of employment. Continuing education requirements required to maintain a license must be completed.
If eligible to sit for the ASCP/ASCPi or AMT exam, the employee must receive ASCP/ASCPi/AMT within six months of hire.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology or related science Or equivalent education/experience
Bachelor's degree with ASCP/ASCPi/AMT Certification as an MLS or MT experience 6 months post-hire.
