Job Description
AMA is seeking a research scientist to support NASA Langley Research Center's Hyperspectral Remote Sensing Group, focusing on the development of artificial intelligence (AI) based radiative transfer models (RTM) for satellite data analysis. This effort involves using current physics-based RTMs and retrieval algorithms to train AI-based models to improve computational speed, analyzing and validating the resulting models through comparison with existing models and satellite data, and helping the team deploy the developed models for remote sensing applications. This role will also involve using satellite and aircraft remote sensing data, running various scientific code on the NASA supercomputer system to generate simulation results, exploring other modeling approaches, and preparing or assisting in preparation of technical reports and presentations to communicate project progress.
