Scrum Master coordinates a cross-functional Agile development team utilizing the principles and tools of the Scrum Framework. Assumes a servant leadership role to support a self-organized team to complete Scrum projects. Being a Scrum Master identifies and removes impediments to progress. Facilitates sprint planning meetings, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, demos, and retrospectives. Additionally, Scrum Master identifies and manages the backlog. Supports, coaches and mentors team members. Tracks daily sprint progress and maintain schedules. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically requires Certified Scrum Master (CSM). Typically reports to a director. The Scrum Master occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function.     Scrum Master

    The Scrum Master will play a key part in influencing our Agile journey. Your responsibilities include planning and guiding Scrum ceremonies, removing obstacles, and nurturing a culture of ongoing improvement within your teams.     • Champion Agile SAFe Principles: Help to implement Agile SAFe best practices and Scrum methodologies with your internal teams
    • Facilitate Scrum Ceremonies: Plan and lead Daily Scrums, Sprint Planning, Backlog Refinements, Sprint Reviews, Retrospectives, and Program Increment (PI) Planning, ensuring effective communication and collaboration
    • Remove Impediments: Identify and proactively address roadblocks that hinder team progress, working collaboratively with the internal teams and stakeholders to find solutions
    • Coach and Mentor: Guide and empower team members to self-organize, manage their workloads effectively, and mentor on ways to improve their domain knowledge
    • Protect the Team: Shield the team from external distractions and ensure they have the resources needed to deliver on their goals and commitments
    • Collaborate with Stakeholders: Maintain open communication with Product Owners, stakeholders, and internal teams to ensure product alignment and transparency
    • Promote Continuous Improvement: Champion continuous improvement within the team and the organization by actively participating in retrospectives and implementing change initiatives
    • Track and Report Progress: Monitor team progress, track key metrics, and generate reports to provide valuable insights into project performance and opportunities for growth and improvement
    • Assist with managing project scope: Identify, monitor, and control changes to scope within JIRA and ensure alignment with product roadmaps
    • Develop materials required to support the planning of future state execution including process flow diagrams, implementation roadmaps, and project schedules
    • Be resourceful and can learn and adapt quickly to project issues, changes, or updates
    • Ability to travel up to 20%
    • Other responsibilities as assigned.

    Clearance Requirement

    • Must be a US Citizen and be able to obtain a “Secret” clearance level due to the nature of the projects.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
    • Minimum 3 years of recent Scrum Master experience; management of concurrently running Development Teams is a plus.
    • Agile SAFe 6.0 certification is a plus.
    • In-depth understanding of the Scrum Methodology and Agile principles.
    • Strong facilitation and communication skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
    • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills for Issue Management and KPIs.
    • Demonstrate initiative and ownership; be proactive, results-oriented, with a can-do attitude to meet critical deadlines.
    • Collaborative and team-oriented with a focus on continuous improvement.
    • Experience working in a cross-functional matrixed environment.
    • Experience with project management tools such as Jira and Confluence.
