ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

1. Final responsibility for all production electrical equipment as well as the plant's structural equipment

     so that it safely and efficiently operates at all times.  Job functions include, but are not limited to:

1. On call to repair or replace electrical wiring on equipment as problems develop.  Performs

               advanced electrical replacement and repair.

1. Responsible for electrical maintenance on machinery and equipment on a periodic basis.
2. Where work cannot be performed in-house, arranges for outside contractor or the manufacturer

               of the equipment to do the repair work.

1. Performs maintenance and repair of all rectifiers.
2. Troubleshoot and repair robots and connected equipment (at applicable facilities).
3. Add and implement diagrams and electrical prints for modified work being done on machines

              and/or equipment.

1. Tear down and rebuild press components.
2. Performs weekly, quarterly and annual press/machine inspections.
3. May be required to work weekends at minimal notice to fix equipment.
4. Maintains clean and safe work environment at all times.
5. Other job duties as assigned by supervisor or group leader.

TRAINING REQUIREMENTS:  Statistical Process Control and Problem Solving Training.  Must be able to get certified in Press Safety.

TYPICAL MACHINES AND EQUIPMENT INVOLVED:  Plater, Presses, Feeders, Derailers, Rectifiers, Programmable Controls, Robots and Robotic Equipment, etc. (All electrical equipment).

TOOLS AND GAGES:  Oscilloscope, Amp-probe, Meters, Computers, Dial Indicators and  Micrometers, Various Measuring Devices, etc.

TYPICAL PRODUCTS INVOLVED:  Contact cleaner, part and press lubricants, hydraulic oils, floor cleaners, etc.

METHOD OF JOB ASSIGNMENT:  Mostly written, some verbal.

QUALIFICATIONS:  Ability to learn Statistical Process Control and Problem Solving.  Must have a good understanding of electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic prints.  Advanced math and blueprint reading essential.  Must obtain certification in Press Safety.  Minimum 5 years of previous electrical experience required.  Previous experience as a Maintenance A or equivalent mandatory.  Knowledge of programmable controls required.  Proficient computer skills is a plus.
