Role Summary/Purpose:
The AVP, Scrum Master will be responsible for leading the delivery of products on the Consumer Bank platform. This Scrum Master will work on a dynamic team with the goal of leading innovative employee facing services solutions to production involving Cloud and other latest technologies. This individual will be responsible in leading agile teams as the Scrum Master for delivery of prioritized initiatives.
The ideal candidate will have a strong project management background with a focus on technology and Agile development, as well as a proven track record of delivering critical initiatives.

Essential Responsibilities:
Support SAFe Core Values, apply SAFe Principles, & implement/follow SAFe practices.
Collaboration across agile team/s, Agile Release Trains (ARTs), Large Solution SAFe, internal & external dependency teams, client management & developer teams
Conduct SAFe Ceremonies across multiple agile teams which support individual teams & the Release Train. This includes the following but is not limited to: Daily Stand Ups, Backlog Grooming, Sprint Planning, Demos/Reviews, Retrospectives, Inspect & Adapt, PI Planning Event Breakouts.
Manage your team’s JIRA project & boards, provision access, monitor key metrics, ensure cleanliness & reduce board clutter, and minimize story drift sprint over sprint
Manage Sprints - keeping order, process, delivery, priorities accurate and on time
Drive Agile Process maturity through a focus on velocity and Sprint, Release and Epic burndown
Drive teams to follow standardized agile release processes as set by the Synchrony Office of Agile, ensuring adherence to release ticket & approval flows
Facilitate support from internal and external dependency teams to remove blockers from your team’s workflow
Work with Product Owners and QA team to ensure that testing and feedback is completed in a timely manner and meeting the Sprint timelines
Assist the team with testing & release signoff and become hands-on with the Synchrony Plug-In product to ensure product quality
Communicate and facilitate effectively across diverse audiences, including your agile teams, stakeholders, internal business leaders, external client teams, and client leadership.
Work with cross-functional teams to create a holistic roadmap and planning for product delivery
Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned
Qualifications/Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree and 4 years of IT experience or equivalent leadership program experience; or in lieu of Bachelor’s Degree, a High School Diploma/GED and 8 years of IT experience, experience in developing and implementing information systems and project management experience
Minimum 4 years of experience in project management and/or scrum master with strong understanding of agile.

The salary range for this position is 90,000.00 - 155,000.00 USD Annual and is eligible for an annual bonus based on individual and company performance.
Actual compensation offered within the posted salary range will be based upon work experience, skill level or knowledge.
Salaries are adjusted according to market in CA, NY Metro and Seattle
Eligibility Requirements:
You must be 18 years or older
You must have a high school diploma or equivalent
You must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation and submit fingerprints as part of the onboarding process
You must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.
New hires (Level 4-7) must have 9 months of continuous service with the company before they are eligible to post on other roles. Once this new hire time in position requirement is met, the associate will have a minimum 6 months’ time in position before they can post for future non-exempt roles. Employees, level 8 or greater, must have at least 18 months’ time in position before they can post.
