About the Role
On a daily basis the position of Seamstress/Tailor will be responsible for construction, alterations and repairs of garments for the Wardrobe / Costume Department. Help maintain a high standard of quality for all Park Wardrobe and Entertainment Costumes.
Role Description

Background and Experience:
Experience as a Sewer, seamstress, tailor, stitcher, &/or fitter in any Costume related field, Theatre, Theme Parks etc. is highly desirable. Must have a good knowledge of sewing skills, and industrial machines and hand stitching. Knowledge of textiles including fabric care. Must have EXCELLENT skills and an eye for detail. Requires good interpersonal skills, must be polite and friendly. Active listening, ability to follow instruction and collaboration are essential to this position. Requires the ability to self-initiate activities and coordinate daily tasks, should be able to work with a minimum of supervision. Must be a team player and like working in a fast paced environment. Intermediate computer skills necessary. Adobe Creative suites a plus. Basic math skills are required. Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.Education:Actual work experience in their field is more important than a formal education. The preferred candidate would have 1 year of experience as a seamstress, tailor, stitcher, fitter in Theme Parks, Theatre or other related field. Must be able to pass a sewing test to demonstrate skills.
Physical Demands:• Ability to sit for sustained periods of time to attend on-site and off-site meetings, perform paperwork activities, travel and drive.• Intermittent and prolonged standing and walking to move about the park site and interact with employees.• Finger dexterity sufficient to sew, complete paperwork activities and to use a computer.• Visual acuity sufficient to read written materials, to complete paperwork activities, and to drive.• Hearing sufficient to communicate with individuals in person and by telephone.
Work Environment:• Various inside and outside locations with varying temperatures and floor surfaces.• Exposed to wet and/or humid conditions.
