Search Engine Optimization Specialist monitors site-wide daily performance metrics and uses SEO tools and techniques to optimize site traffic, improve user experience, and increase conversions. Conducts keyword research, search behavior analyses, technical audits, and content gap analyses. Being a Search Engine Optimization Specialist utilizes website analytics and a variety of SEO tools to create reports, audits and dashboards to identify areas for optimization. Conducts competitive research and deploys the latest developments in SEO. Additionally, Search Engine Optimization Specialist requires a bachelor's degree. Responsibilities
Build foundation knowledge of paid search from quality scores to bidding
Develop a deep understanding of how search algorithms work from a consumer perspective, paid advertiser perspective, and organic listing perspective.
Learn the fundamentals of SEO and how they impact paid search campaigns
Execute end-to-end campaign execution (setup, optimization, insights, reporting, and billing).
Be consistently curious and inquisitive – learn how platforms work, and more importantly, learn how to game them
Collaborate with internal teams and communicate with media partners to ensure that the campaign is set up to report on the right metrics
Implement conversion and tracking tags that align measurement and optimization with client KPIs
Perform analyses in Excel, Tableau, SQL or Python to mine for insights and solve challenges
Create regular performance reports communicating the highlights to strategy & stewardship team and/or client
Professional Knowledge and Skillsets
Participate in internal team meetings on key topics or with important media/technology partners
Develop time management skills to prioritize and re-prioritize tasks regularly
Experience
2-4 years of experience in working in an advertising or digital marketing environment
Experience paid search, social, programmatic media buying or similar self-service platforms is preferred but not required
Entry-level knowledge of Microsoft excel, Python, Tableau, and/or Google Data Studio
SALARY RANGE
Our estimated range for this role is $50k - $65k
Compensation packages are based on the skill level and experience each candidate brings to their role. There may also be a more senior or junior position available that could be a better fit with your expertise. Each level has its own compensation range.
