Being a Secondary Market Analyst creates reports and models to forecast asset performance and works with internal stakeholders to make recommendations. Complies with secondary market regulations and company protocols. Additionally, Secondary Market Analyst may require a bachelor's degree in a related area. Typically reports to a manager.     The purpose of this position is to provide our sales groups with the latest market facts and foreseeable trends, based on qualitative and quantitative market research and analysis. It aims to ensure our sales organizations are not only “up-to-date” but also strategically positioned for future opportunities and challenges in the dynamic business landscape.

    II. General Functions/Specific Responsibilities

    Market Research
    • Conduct comprehensive market research to identify industry trends, competitive landscapes, and potential opportunities.
    • Analyze data on market conditions, customer preferences, and economic trends to provide actionable insights.
    Competitor Analysis
    • Monitor and analyze competitor activities, market share, and product positioning.
    • Provide regular updates on competitor strategies, strengths, and weaknesses to inform business strategy.
    Data Analysis
    • Utilize statistical techniques and tools to analyze large datasets and extract meaningful conclusions.
    • Interpret and present data in a clear and concise manner, highlighting key trends and insights.
    Forecasting and Trend Analysis
    • Develop and maintain forecasting models to predict market trends and demand for products or services.
    • Stay informed about industry developments and emerging trends that may impact the business.
    Customer Insights
    • Collect and analyze customer feedback, surveys, and market intelligence to understand customer preferences and behavior.
    • Provide recommendations for improving products, services, and customer satisfaction.
    Strategic Planning Support
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide data-driven insights for strategic planning and decision-making.
    • Assist in the development and evaluation of marketing, product, and business development strategies.
    Reporting
    • Prepare and present regular reports on market analysis, including key findings, recommendations, and strategic implications.
    • Ensure timely and accurate communication of market insights to relevant stakeholders.
    Industry Monitoring
    • Keep abreast of industry regulations, economic conditions, and global events that may impact the market.
    • Provide timely updates on relevant industry news and developments.
    Improve and strengthen business operations
    • Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOP) regarding market analysis

    IV. Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, or a related field.
    • Proven experience as a Market Analyst or in a similar role.
    • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis/visualization tools. (Excel Analysis Toolpak, Tableau)
    • Strong understanding of the general manufacturing market/industry in the US.
    • Excellent knowledge of statistical concepts and research/analysis methodologies.
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills (Japansese skill is a plus)
    • Detail-oriented, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
    • Familiar with data-driven decision making.
    • Experience in dealing with Japanese manufacturers preferred.

    V. Experience

    3 years in a similar role or equivalent experience.

    Reports to Sales Planning Group Manager

    Minimum Position Requirement:

    • Computer literacy in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
    • National and International travel will be necessary.
    • Legal eligibility to work in the USA.

    The base salary range for this position is $70,000 to $90,000 annually.

    • This is a hybrid and an exempt position.
