Secondary Market Manager helps develop, manage, and improve a company's secondary mortgage market operations. Leads a team of analysts to ensure timely and accurate work and provides research and solutions to complex questions or tasks. Being a Secondary Market Manager oversees the company's loan purchases and sales on the secondary market and manages mortgage loan portfolios to balance risk. Reviews performance indicators and utilizes economic data and market trends to determine risk. Additionally, Secondary Market Manager maintains relationships with investors, brokers, and originators to identify and develop new leads and opportunities. Requires a bachelor's degree in a related area. Typically reports to a director. The Secondary Market Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Secondary Market Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Recruit, interview and hire talent
    • Develop staffing plans for key store roles
    • Analyze workload strategies, sharing findings with store staff and leadership to develop action plans
    • Collaborate with the store executive team to develop and execute associate retention strategies
    • Foster a collaborative and engaged environment, addressing and managing associate concerns
    • Drive Associate Engagement and Development through effective communication, feedback and recognition
    • Oversee the development and coaching of all associates, including the appraisal process for the purpose of recommending and executing on promotions or other changes in position
    • Demonstrate and promote a hospitality mentality on the sales floor, ensuring a best in class customer experience
    • Direct store visual workload ensuring company merchandise presentation directives and merchandise standards reflect Kohl's Brand
    • Monitor pricing and markdown accuracy ensuring inventory disposition are in compliance with Kohl's Best Processes
    • Make informed decisions to support store expense management (e.g. payroll, productivity, shortage)
    • Oversee store Cash Office, Service Desk, and Building Safety standards are maintained and take appropriate action when necessary
    • Oversee the execution of all merchandising directives
    • Oversee localization and merchandising efforts ensuring merchandise is properly placed throughout the store
    • Review business reports for merchandise opportunities and take action to drive sales
    • Maintain and enhance relationships with vendors and community partners

    As a Store Manager, you are the CEO of your store. You are tasked with leading the store executive team and will drive results by ensuring sales growth.

    Development is a key part of Kohl’s culture which is why you will oversee training and provide development recommendations to associates.

    Keeping in mind collaboration and engagement, Store Managers will also promote engagement through KVP (Kohl’s Volunteer Program) participation and by creating partnerships with Executives and Key Leaders.

    The manner in which you perform these responsibilities will vary depending upon on many factors, including the store at which you work, the composition of the store team and your experience.

    This is a salaried, full-time position; the number of hours may vary from week to week.

    KEY QUALIFICATIONS

    REQUIRED

    • Minimum 3-5 years store management experience in a high volume, big box environment
    • Experience in leading and developing large teams
    • Experience working in a fast paced and changing environment
    • Ability to multi-task, while being attentive to Customers and remaining flexible to the needs of the business

    SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

    • Ability to lift 50 pounds on an occasional to frequent basis. Greater than 50 pounds 1 Associate per 50 pounds with or without an accommodation
    • Ability to spend up to 100% of work time standing or moving about the departments within the store
    • Physical activities include bending, lifting, climbing, carrying, walking and / or reaching on a frequent basis with or without an accommodation
