Secondary Market Manager helps develop, manage, and improve a company's secondary mortgage market operations. Leads a team of analysts to ensure timely and accurate work and provides research and solutions to complex questions or tasks. Being a Secondary Market Manager oversees the company's loan purchases and sales on the secondary market and manages mortgage loan portfolios to balance risk. Reviews performance indicators and utilizes economic data and market trends to determine risk. Additionally, Secondary Market Manager maintains relationships with investors, brokers, and originators to identify and develop new leads and opportunities. Requires a bachelor's degree in a related area. Typically reports to a director. The Secondary Market Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Secondary Market Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     The Gourmet Market Manager is responsible for managing the daily operations of our market including the curation of gourmet products and gifts in conjunction with the owner and operating manager and selection, development, and management of team members.

    This individual will have extensive Food and Beverage knowledge, a passion for F&B operation, and a creative approach to the operation that drives results, delivers superior service, and maximizes guest satisfaction.

    Experience

    • Proven knowledge of Budgeting, Forecasting, Cost Control and P&L
    • Leadership experience and exceptional customer service and hospitality managerial skills
    • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
    • Excellent organizational and time-management skills – able to prioritize tasks and delegate them
    • BS in Business Administration or Hospitality Management preferred
    • Prior gourmet or upscale market experience

    Daily Operations

    • Own and drive the successful operation of the market
    • Adhere to company standards and service levels to increase sales and minimize costs, including food, beverage, supply, utility, and labor costs
    • Proactively maintain a safe and sanitary operation in accordance with laws and regulations to protect team, guests, and company assets
    • Performs weekly and monthly inventories and updates beverage prices on spread sheet
    • Enforce sanitary practices for food handling, general cleanliness, and maintenance of kitchen and dining area in accordance with company policies and Wake County ordinances
    • Maintain professional restaurant imageincluding market cleanliness, proper uniforms, and appearance standards
    • Ensure positive guest service in all areas and respond to complaints
    • Document, investigate, and resolve all issues/complaints and take action to turn dissatisfied guests into return ones
    • Actively manage and assess product quality
    • Lead and oversee the team of employees daily
    • Hire, train, and develop all market employees
    • Lead and motivate the team to advance employee engagement and create a high-performing culture
    • Control operational costs and identify measures to cut waste
    • Conduct weekly inventory or as needed
    • Review P&Ls to monitor overall financial performance
