PAY RATE:
Per Master Contract, Current Step 1 – $17.67 / hour
May earn an additional .50 cents / hour premium with an associate’s degree or higher
IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR:
Building Principal
HOURS OF WORK:
Monday through Friday 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. (approximate)
START DATE:
July 25, 2022; 46 week position (230 work days)
QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma or equivalent with a minimum of one year of previous office experience required. Prefer experience in a school setting. Must have an excellent attendance record; the ability to pass a typing test at 55 words per minute; demonstrated computer literacy; the ability to develop effective working relationships with students, staff and the school community; ability to communicate clearly, concisely and pleasantly both orally and in writing. Outstanding customer service is a must. Must have the ability to multitask; and the ability to perform duties with awareness of all District requirements and Board of Education policies. Must be able to comply with student/staff/parent confidentiality issues.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
Serves as confidential secretary to the high school Principal and as facilitator for the school/public being served in communicating information, problem solving, material acquisition, and record keeping. Maintains pertinent and accurate school records, reports, logs, financial records, correspondence, immunization records, emergency information, etc. May assist with substitute teacher process, may administers and log medication according to policy and regulations, Other duties may be assigned as necessary to ensure the smooth operation of the building.
PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT:
To perform the essential functions of the job, the following applies: sitting, talking, hearing, standing, walking, typing, writing, Frequent/constant interruptions to work assignments. This can be a hectic and fast-paced work environment. The employee will be continually interacting with students, staff, and the public. May be exposed to public illness, bodily fluids, paper dust normally found in a school administrative office.
