    OFFICE LOCATION: Livonia, Michigan
    REPORTS TO: District Executive Director

    WORK SCHEDULE:  40 Hours/week, Monday – Friday. Some evening and weekend work for events. This position does require coming into the office.

    WHAT YOU WILL BE WORKING ON:

    • Develops, promotes, implements, and manages adult tennis programs and events that provide opportunity for play in Southeastern Michigan communities.
    • Assists with setting up and managing existing adult tennis programs and adult league seasons’ schedules.
    • Continuously monitors and tracks local participation, and provides up to date, accurate data for reports.
    • Provides customer service for all local adult tennis programs by assisting facilities, players, and teams. Answers calls, texts, and emails in a timely manner.
    • Recruits team captains, new players, and volunteers and provides training as needed. Also compiles and manages databases for these individuals.
    • Attends meetings and presents to potential players, community members, teaching professionals, facilities, and other tennis providers to promote and grow adult tennis participation.
    • Provides program communication to volunteers, team captains, and players by seasonal deadlines.
    • Facilitates or attends educational meetings, planning meetings, and local adult tennis committees.
    • Participates and assists at USTA district, state and section events and meetings as needed.
    • Responsible for keeping an accurate time sheet and effectively managing his/her time and completion of assignments.
    • Performs other clerical, office, leagues, and program support duties as assigned by the District Executive Director.

    SPECIAL PROJECTS:

    • Assists with preparation for upcoming district or state championships, events, programs, and meetings. Includes packing necessary equipment and supplies, clerical duties and loading equipment and supplies into vehicles.
    • Welcomes, registers, and checks in participants during events, meetings, and programs.
    • Assists with basic cleaning of office and organizing storage room as needed.
    • Delivers awards or equipment to events, meetings, program sites, tennis facilities/clubs and individuals as needed.
    • Performs other duties as assigned by the District Executive Director.

    REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

    • Two or four-year college degree, preferred.
    • High School Diploma required.
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office products and Office 365: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, required.
    • Must be able to read and write English, required.
    • One year of tennis programs experience and the ability to demonstrate advanced knowledge of the game, preferred.
    • One year of customer service experience, preferably in a fast-paced environment team-oriented environment, preferred.
    • Good organizational and time management skills required.
    • Ability to resolve conflict required.
    • Must possess and maintain a valid driver license and a record that meets our company’s insurance standards, required.
    • Must be able to travel and have reliable transportation, required.
    • Must have a professional and positive attitude, required.
    • Must reside in the assigned geographic area of coverage, required.
    • Must be able to pass the USTA National Safe Play and USTA Southeastern Michigan background checks, required.
