SUMMARY:
This is an entry level position that is part of a formal training program. This job is foundational and expected to be a starting point within a specific discipline (Claims) and is expected to last up to one year.
Upon completion of the training program the trainee is expected to be familiar with the department policies, processes, procedures, and terminology related to the job. In addition, the trainee will be proficient in the job responsibilities and tasks of the progressive positions within the career path. The trainee will be evaluated on their progress during the training period and on successful completion of the training plan. Upon satisfactory completion of training, the trainee will be eligible for a targeted position within the career path.

EDUCATION OR EQUIVALENT EXPERIENCE:

Associate’s in related field and certification (such as AIC, CPCU) required; or a Bachelor’s degree in related field required. Course work in medical terminology is desired. Continuous learning required, as defined by the Company’s learning philosophy. Certification, or progress toward, highly preferred and encouraged.
EXPERIENCE:
With proper education, no experience is required. One-year of relevant experience in an insurance environment or knowledge of worker’s compensation is desired. Bi-lingual skills in speaking, writing, or reading English and Spanish are desired.
