Securities Analyst conducts research on organizations within a specific industry in order to make recommendations regarding investment strategy. Stays abreast of trends and news within an industry, such as filings, mergers and acquisitions, competitive position, and financial stability of organizations. Being a Securities Analyst requires a bachelor's degree or in a related area. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. General Function:
This individual will support a large IT Services team in the creation, assembly and analysis of data in order to create business information. Specifically, this person will be charged with identifying trends and patterns in a variety of data sources. Further, this person will need to be able to communicate findings through verbal, written and graphic media (e.g. Word, PowerPoint, and Excel).
Further, this person will be responsible for completing certain recurring processes and procedures in support of the operational needs of the organization (recurring reports, approvals, meeting planning)

Supports management in understanding and assessing the fit and gaps for business requirements.
Responsible for understanding and documenting business requirements for specific business problems
Participates in validating, testing, and updating project documentation.
Models data and processes.
Works with internal teams to assist in business process redesign as needed for realization of business benefits.
Successful completion of certain recurring operational and administrative tasks.
