Summary
Responsible for analyzing financial information, communicating findings through concise, well-written analysis reports as well as verbal recommendations to management.
Essential Functions
- Perform financial statement spreading and analysis on new and existing loan relationships to determine creditworthiness of borrowers, by evaluating cash flow and debt serviceability.
- Prepare written credit analysis reports that are clear, concise and complete; translate information clearly and effectively.
- Ensure compliance with bank policies and procedures and applicable banking regulations.
- Assist lenders with credit exceptions.
- Communicate with company controllers or accountants to gather additional information and interpret financial transactions.
- Communicate and work with legal counsel on preparation of real estate documents and loan agreements.
- Assist in the coordination of real estate loan activity with title companies, appraisers, civil or environmental surveyors, etc.
- Contact borrowers that are past due and report chronic situations or problems to the responsible lender.
- Contact borrowers, insurance agents, accountants, etc. for correction of any loan documentation exceptions and report problem areas to the responsible lender.
- Coordinate activities between the lending staff and credit administration.
- Communicate closely with all lenders relating to progress on projects and/or problems encountered in meeting objectives.
- Other duties and projects as assigned.
Required Education, Experience, Skills
- Bachelor’s degree with a major in accounting, finance or business administration.
- Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret complex financial information; identify relevant risk.
- Ability to work on multiple transactions simultaneously; prioritize assignments to meet deadlines.
- Ability to communicate in a clear, concise manner (oral and written).
- Ability to interpret technical instructions and deal with an assortment of variable.
- Good organization skills.
- Proficient computer skills required (Excel and Word).
- Requires valid driver’s license; ability to travel/drive to client meetings.
