Stays abreast of trends and news within an industry, such as filings, mergers and acquisitions, competitive position, and financial stability of organizations. Being a Securities Analyst requires a bachelor's degree or in a related area. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. To be a Securities Analyst typically requires 4 to 7 years of related experience. Contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project. Work is generally independent and collaborative in nature. Job Description
O’Hagan Meyer seeks an attorney with 1-4 years of litigation experience. The position is located in our Hermosa Beach office. The ideal candidate will have experience litigating in some or all the areas of business/commercial litigation, professional liability, securities litigation/arbitration, and directors & officers defense, including derivative actions, and have practiced in state and federal court(s). Admission to CA Bar, strong academic background, and excellent writing skills required.
Qualifications and Skills:
This position would require, but is not limited to, legal research, drafting of pleadings motions and other documents, taking, and defending depositions, drafting, and answering discovery requests, trial preparation and trial assistance. Experience with both state and federal courts preferred.
Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to deliver strong work product is a must. This position also requires the ability to communicate with both clients and colleagues in an effective and timely manner. This position will require some local travel for court appearances, mediations, arbitrations, site inspections and depositions.
Salary: $120,000.00 – $180,000.00 per year
