Overview

AAY Security is a leading security services company for the energy, maritime and transportation industries. We are currently seeking a hands-on HR Coordinator to support site-level human resources administration in Corpus Christi, TX. This position also supports Regional and Corporate HR initiatives. 

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years Human Resource experience with ATS and FMLA experience.
  
• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent. Some college education or business classes preferred.
• Ability to work with ATS software; experience with BambooHR desirable.
• Must possess the ability to work independently with little supervision.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; research ability.
• Ability to clearly read, write and speak English required.
• High level of proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and computer data entry.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills and ability to be flexible, a team player and interface professionally with all levels of internal and external.
• Excellent organizational skills; attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities

• Provides day to day general Human Resource support to worksite employees and management staff, elevating questions and issues to appropriate corporate level HR. as needed.
• Conducts applicant interviewing and vetting, including state required guard license processing, TWIC, fingerprinting, drug and alcohol scheduling, and all new hire paperwork processing.
• Creates and maintains employee personnel, medical, and benefit files in accordance with company policies.
• Assists Corporate HR with the annual benefit open enrollment process; provides first-line answers to benefit related questions.
• Oversees administration of Company uniform program, including sizing, issuance of uniforms, timely return of uniforms, assistance with replacements, and maintaining all paper and electronic files associated with the program.
• Assists with workers' compensation claims management, issuing and obtaining claim paperwork, collecting statements, and coordinating with Corporate Human Resources on doctor's notes and return to work.
• Receives initial notices from employees and supervisors for leave of absence requests/needs and coordinates with Corporate HR department to provide initial information and oversee flow of related paperwork. FMLA experience desirable.
  
• Processes weekly reports/updates for Corporate HR.
• Assists with various administrative duties as assigned by the Human Resources Director.

Location/Hours

Onsite position, with normal office working hours Monday – Friday 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. with exceptions made for activities related directly to Company or client operational needs. Exceptions may include occasionally working overtime, weekends, and/or holidays.
